Light Sculpture

A site specific light sculpture

Circa was originally developed with the support of Shrinking Space as part of The Wonder Project at Wakehurst Gardens in the UK. The concept was developed with the help of scientist Anne Vischer at Kew Gardens.

One of the approaches we’ve taken with this project is to borrow patterns, rhythms and data from nature. Using the circadian cycle as a reference for setting our bpm in the music, our loop lengths for the movement of light and for the amount of light that is present in our circles.

Twelve custom fabricated light fixtures fully addressable and colour controllable, tightly synchronised with a spatial sound design, spreading light and sound over thirty three meters.
