An immersive multimedia experience inviting the public onto the stage of Bristols iconic concert hall in celebration of its 150 year history.
We used the Hall’s 1951 architecture as a grand canvas to tell its own colourful history. Immersive projection and lighting combined with a carefully curated soundtrack by Joe Acheson in a twenty five minute experience that filled audience members with nostalgia. The public were invited onto the stage, to share the same perspective as legends like David Bowie and Nina Simone who had graced the stage before them.
The video design featured archive imagery and bespoke visualisations, leaving no surfaces untouched, moving images were projection mapped over banks of seats, balconies, and the walls. The lighting design contrasted moments of intimacy on stage with explosions of energy across the entire venue. The house lights were hacked and programmed becoming a crucial part of the story.
