We were commissioned by In Between Time Festival to produce an installation on the theme of Dawn.

Our concept explores the idea that Dawn is perpetual, a balance between light and darkness that is the basis for the measurement of the passage of time.

The work consists of a large smoke emitting sphere in the centre of a room, lights are arranged concentrically around the sphere and focused in to create a halo which can leave some audience members in the dark while others are in the light.

In addition to the sphere we created and operated visuals on a screen which was divided in half, exploring the passage of time through web harvested imagery and juxtaposing the images with the use of light and darkness.
