Iron Island
An immersive maritime experience with theatrical lighting and poetry
SS Great Britain
Working closely with poet Saili Katebe and the team at the SS Great Britain, we created an evocative visual narrative exploring themes of migration, exploration and discovery. We were invited to bring the dry-dock that surrounds the SS Great Britain to life with the sights and sounds of the sea, with the aim to transport, educate and transfix the audience.
Drawing inspiration from a wealth of content from the ship’s archives, we created a richly textured and contemporary multimedia experience combining 360-degree projections, theatrical lighting and spoken word.
