Circa

Touring light sculpture exploring the new-science of circadian rhythms

Touring Artwork

A mesmerising installation that invites audiences to connect with the biological patterns and rhythms of nature.

Enhanced with a synched, atmospheric sound design, created by Joe Acheson (Hidden Orchestra), each of the twelve light hoops represent the average light fall over one month of the year.

As a touring sculpture, Circa can be adapted in response to its location.

Exhibited at Vivid Light Festival, Sydney, visited by over 2 million people. Circa is still touring internationally.
Originally developed with the support of Shrinking Space as part of The Wonder Project at Wakehurst Gardens in the UK, the concept was developed with the help of scientist Anne Vischer at Kew Gardens.

A sophisticated popular work, Circa brought a sublime calm to our excited visitors. Truly glorious
